Russell Westbrook Gets 'The Westwolf' Nickname in New Jordan Brand Spot

Russell Westbrook is a bad man.

The Oklahoma City guard is seventh in the NBA in scoring, second in assists, first in steals and, astonishingly enough, tied for 30th in rebounds, which is tops for all guards. He's recorded eight triple-doubles this season, second only to Draymond Green's 10, and has generally been an unstoppable force of nature.

But somehow he doesn't have a nickname.

Just like his running mate, Kevin Durant, Westbrook has yet to find a nickname that has managed to encapsulate his unique game and personality. Until now.

In the 15-second spot from Jumpman, Russ's hype kid goes through a few possibilities (Russ Ruckus, The Human Turbo Button, The Big Bang, The Minister of Menace) before settling on The Westwolf, complete with a primal howl.

Westbrook certainly is wolf-like. He's ferocious and quick and he's got a killer instinct. If he starts letting out howls like that after one of his rim-shattering dunks, I could see this sticking.

The Air Jordan XXX, unveiled last month, hits stores on Friday, heading into the NBA All-Star weekend in Toronto.
