High School Basketball Team Stuns Opponent with Full-Court Shot at Buzzer

Kyle NewportFeb 10, 2016

Just seconds after the Wilmington Area Greyhounds of New Wilmington, Pennsylvania, took the lead, the Reynolds Raiders of Greenville, Pennsylvania, found a way to stun the home team with a last-second shot during Tuesday's game.

But this was no ordinary game-winning attempt.

Following a Greyhounds go-ahead bucket with a few seconds left, the Raiders got the ball in bounds and managed to get a full-court shot off. Somehow, it found its way through the hoop.

That's how a 66-65 loss turns into a 68-66 victory in the blink of an eye.

As unbelievable as it was, there is some question as to whether it should have counted. If you go frame by frame, it does appear as though the basketball may have still been in the player's hands when the clock hit 0.0 seconds.

However, it was so close that it would have been tough for the referees to call it live.

There have been plenty of wild finishes in high school basketball this season, but it's tough to think of one crazier than this.
