Lionel Messi Reportedly Outbids Cristiano Ronaldo for World's Most Expensive Car
February 8, 2016
The rivalry between Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo appears to have spread to the motoring world, where the Argentinian has reportedly outbid his Real Madrid counterpart for the world's most expensive car.
That's according to Alessandro Proto (via Sport), whose Proto Organisation sold the 1957 Ferrari 335 S Spider Scaglietti for around €32 million in Paris. The car was driven in the 1958 Cuban Grand Prix by British driver Stirling Moss.
The buyer has so far remained anonymous, and sources close to Messi have denied his involvement, but a press release from the Italian company claims otherwise.
