Lukaku didn't feature in Everton's 1-1 draw against Tottenham Hotspur, and the Toffees revealed after the match he suffered a heel injury in the friendly against Espanyol.
Per the club's official website, manager Ronald Koeman expects him to play against WBA, as he said: "He was already a doubt for today, but we had good hope that he was going to start. He will be ready for next week. The player likes to play and if he is okay, he will start.”
The Belgian is Everton's main scoring outlet and enjoyed a fine 2015-16 campaign, scoring 18 goals in 37 total Premier League appearances, per WhoScored.com.
There has been plenty of transfer speculation, however, with Simon Johnson of the London Evening Standard reporting the 23-year-old is keen to rejoin former club Chelsea. His absence only fuelled those rumours, but it now seems the injury was the only reason he didn't start against Spurs.
