Ex-Man Utd GK Victor Valdes at Fault for Goal in Home Debut for Standard Liege

Trouble seems to follow Victor Valdes wherever he goes these days.

The Spanish goalkeeper finally got his move away from Manchester United in January, when he was loaned out to Belgian club Standard Liege until the end of the season.

And the former Barcelona No. 1 made his home debut on Sunday against fellow mid-table side Sint-Truidense VV.

But Valdes was guilty of a howler late in the first half, missing a punch that led to a rather comical equaliser by Nick Proschwitz.

A second goal for the German striker on the hour mark ensured a 2-1 defeat for the home side.
