Steve Harvey Is Wrong Again in T-Mobile's 'Drop the Balls' Super Bowl 50 Ad

Tyler ConwayFeb 7, 2016

Steve Harvey got it wrong at the 2016 Miss Universe pageant, but apparently he's got it all right with his wireless carrier.

The comedian and Family Feud host poked fun at his infamous gaffe in a Super Bowl 50 spot titled "Drop the Balls" for T-Mobile. Beginning by interrupting the narrator, Harvey references the incident where he read off the wrong winner of the 2016 pageant by pointing to his notecard.

Harvey has been apologetic since the gaffe, which saw Miss Colombia crowned and then unceremoniously uncrowned for the rightful winner, Miss Philippines. Good on him and T-Mobile for having a sense of humor about the situation. The spot ranks among the best commercials of the first half.

Our one quibble: Where was Miss Colombia? If she's not going to get a crown, a Super Bowl commercial wouldn't have been a bad consolation prize.
