Lady Gaga Super Bowl National Anthem 2016 Prop Odds and Predictions

Joe PantornoFeb 7, 2016

In America's biggest game of the year, Super Bowl 50, it seems like one can bet on just about anything. That even includes the pregame festivities and national anthem, which will be sung this year by six-time Grammy Award winner Lady Gaga.

There will be just one thing to bet on with Lady Gaga's rendition of "The Star-Spangled Banner," and that is the length of her performance. Here are the latest odds courtesy of OddsShark.com

  • Under 2:20: 5-6

This is a lengthy amount of time if you put the past 10 national anthems into consideration. Just once in that span did a singer go over 2:20, and that was Alicia Keys in Super Bowl XLVII.

However, this could be close to that number. A national anthem that Lady Gaga sung at the 2013 New York City Pride Rally clocked in at about 2:15.

Add the theatrics and grand scale of the Super Bowl, which will be one of the largest stages that Lady Gaga will ever perform upon, and that number could go up higher.

According to NFL Network's Nate Burleson, though, it sounds like she might just keep it simple:

That could be a good idea considering one of the greatest national anthem performances ever, Whitney Houston's before Super XXV between the Buffalo Bills and New York Giants, went just about two minutes flat.

No matter her style, it is sure to be a memorable performance before the NFL's 50th championship game. And if you bet right, Lady Gaga could even win you some money before the players even take the field.

Prediction: Lady Gaga's national anthem clocks in at 2:17.
