There was an unusual guest at Old Trafford on Friday, as Manchester United announced a global partnership with 20th Century Fox.
The film production and distribution company is behind films like Deadpool, X-Men: Apocalypse, Independence Day: Resurgence and The Revenant—which might explain some of the players' tweets in recent weeks:

And on Friday, club captain Wayne Rooney got up close and personal with Deadpool in one of the most bizarre promotional photo shoots you'll see this season.
Later, the club revealed the footage of the bizarre advert in question.
Per a statement on Manchester United's official website, the advertising boards at Old Trafford will promote major films while 20th Century Fox will "provide entertainment for fans attending United home games, as well as exclusive content for the club’s global audience via its various digital platforms."
