76ers to Wear Darryl Dawkins Stance Socks on Saturday to Honor Late NBA Legend

The Philadelphia 76ers will be doffing their caps and donning special socks this Saturday in honor of the late Darryl Dawkins. 

The commemorative footwear—just one example of the fresh threads Stance has been churning out in its inaugural season as the NBA's foot outfitter—feature Dawkins doing what he did best: throwing down a ferocious jam.

But the homage to the franchise favorite won't stop with the socks.

Shattered backboards? Not quite.

According to the 76ers press release, the players will also be honoring Chocolate Thunder during warm-ups by sporting pregame shooting shirts emblazoned with the rim-rocker's nickname. 

Certainly, few would mind, however, if a current Philadelphia center were to put on a show in Dawkins' honor against the Brooklyn Nets. (We're looking at you Jahlil Okafor.)
