Golfing Robot Recreates Tiger Woods' Hole-in-One at TPC Scottsdale
Joe GallagherFeb 5, 2016
A robot named for Tiger Woods celebrated his namesake's epic hole-in-one at TPC Scottsdale in Arizona 19 years after the golfer originally achieved the feat.
"LDRIC," which was created by Golf Laboratories Inc. owner Gene Parente, nailed the ace on the iconic par-three 16th hole during the Waste Management Phoenix Open's pro-am event.
Nearly two decades earlier, a man named Eldrick "Tiger" Woods sent the crowd into a frenzy when he pulled off a hole-in-one of his own during the 1997 Phoenix Open.
