
Real Madrid Fear Santiago Bernabeu Grass Could Be Behind Gareth Bale's Injuries
For all a club can do to prevent injuries to its star players, banning them from playing on grass is hardly an option.
It would, therefore, be quite a concern if Real Madrid discovered that the turf at their Santiago Bernabeu home ground was behind the injuries suffered by Gareth Bale this season.
But Los Blancos now believe this could be the case, reports SportYou (via Sport).

Madrid are now investigating the relationship between the Welshman's musculature, supports and the composition of the Bernabeu turf, after he left the win over Sporting Gijon in January with a calf injury.
Bale has yet to feature for Zinedine Zidane's side since, and a trend of his injuries at the club suggests the problem might be with the home grass.
The Bernabeu uses a new imported hybrid turf from Milan, which it introduced last summer.
Real Madrid trail league-leading Barcelona by four points in La Liga, ahead of this weekend's visit to Granada.
