Lionel Messi Interviewed by Barcelona Youngsters from La Masia Academy

Five lucky youngsters from Barcelona's La Masia academy were given the opportunity to sit down with Lionel Messi and quiz the Argentinian on his life and career so far.

With his fifth Ballon d'Or trophy sitting proudly on the table, Messi gave some fascinating answers about growing up far from home at the Barca academy and all he has achieved with the club since making the move as a young boy.

"I have great memories of all those afternoons with the lads who were in the same situation, far from their families and with the dream of reaching the first division; in truth, they were great times," Messi reflected on his time at La Masia.

On his latest Ballon d'Or win, the diminutive forward insists he is looking to the future.

"It's lovely to receive this award for what it means," Messi said. "[But] now, that is history. I am not thinking about it; I am thinking about what we have left this season, trying to repeat what we did last year."
