Andy Murray Pays Emotional Tribute to Pregnant Wife After Open Final Defeat

Tom WebbJan 31, 2016

Andy Murray fought back the tears to thank his heavily pregnant wife Kim Sears after losing the Australian Open final in straight sets to Novak Djokovic.

The No. 1 seed won 6-1 7-5 7-6 (7-3), claiming his sixth Australian Open title, while it was the fifth time Murray has fallen in the final of the Melbourne-based Grand Slam.

After the match, though, the Scot's attention quickly turned to his wife Kim, who is expecting the couple's first child in the next two weeks.
