Tom WebbJan 30, 2016

Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard has given some interesting answers in a quick-fire interview with Sports Illustrated's Grant Wahl.

The former England captain has played with a number of big names at club and international level and picked Luis Suarez and Xabi Alonso as the best, while Lionel Messi, John Terry and Petr Cech are identified as three of his toughest opponents.

On his favourite goal, Gerrard picked a memorable strike. "2006, Cardiff, FA Cup final, West Ham [United]," he said. "[Thirty-five] yards out, I had a cramp, I was absolutely shattered. Final moments of extra-time. I managed to connect with a sweet strike in the FA Cup final."
