Murray Trying to Break Djokovic's Spell

Sunday's final will be the 31st meeting between Murray and Djokovic. The two battled in the 2015 Aussie Open final, in which Djokovic prevailed 7-6, 6-7, 6-3, 6-0. This will be the fifth time Djokovic and Murray have played in Melbourne, with each match taking place in the semifinals or finals.
Djokovic has won all of those meetings, and he holds a commanding 21-9 edge in the career series. That explains why EA Sports' Marko Djordjevic and others are predicting the final will be a tough task for Murray:
Recently, we've seen several players knock off opponents they've struggled against throughout their careers. Angelique Kerber had never beaten Victoria Azarenka before this year's semifinal matchup. It's possible Murray could turn the tables on Djokovic.
Djokovic Will Win His Sixth Aussie Open

Murray had to dig deep to defeat Raonic. How much will he have left for the final? Freelance journalist Carole Bouchard thinks the 28-year-old will have plenty in reserve:
Having Saturday off will definitely help Murray recharge physically. However, emotionally and psychologically he may not have the juice to outlast Djokovic. After coming back from a 2-1 deficit in the semifinal, Murray may have already showed us the best he has to offer for this year's tournament.
Unfortunately for him, his B-game won't cut it against Djokovic. Expect the final to be a hotly contested match for the first two sets. From there, Djokovic will break Murray's spirits in the third set and cruise in the fourth to claim his sixth Australian Open title and second in as many years.
