In a post on Twitter, Sheamus showed off his arm in a cast:
According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, the full extent of Sheamus' injury is not yet known:
"We've confirmed that the injury is legitimate, but we don't have much in the way of details other than he has tendonitis in the arm. He isn't expected to be out of the ring for too long, but the timing of when he'll be able to wrestle again has not been determined.
As of today, the feeling is that he will likely remain on television in storylines but won't be working matches, similar to the role Wade Barrett has been doing in the League of Nations in recent weeks.
"
Sheamus did work last Monday's episode of Raw, partnering up with Rusev in a tag team match against Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose won by Reigns and Ambrose.
WWE is currently operating without John Cena, Randy Orton and Seth Rollins, all main-eventers still on the shelf. WrestleMania season does bring out the big stars, with The Rock returning last Monday, but Sheamus' injury only compounds the roster's depth issue right now.
