Did Russell Wilson Use Google for '#WCW' Posts About Girlfriend Ciara?

Kyle NewportJan 28, 2016

Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson made it known this week that his girlfriend Ciara was his "Woman Crush Wednesday."

While a simple photo of the singer with a "#WCW" hashtag would have sufficed, Wilson decided to include some flattering messages about Ciara. And that's where he may have slipped up.

The Super Bowl XLVIII champion made both "AM" and "PM" #WCW posts, with the latter below:

Some fans may have seen the posts and thought, "Aw, that's sweet." But Twitter user @natalieweiner got suspicious and decided to investigate the matter. The results were shocking:

As Deadspin's Barry Petchesky pointed out (warning: NSFW language), Wilson's morning post came from the same website that Natalie found. In other words, it looks like the Seahawks star knows how to use the Google machine.

Update: Tuesday, Jan. 29 at 12:58 a.m. ET

As it turns out, Wilson did not use Google for his posts:

Way to have sense of humor about this situation, Russell.

--End of Update--

Next week, if it feels right, maybe just write "#WCW" and throw in a couple of emojis.
