Giants Bungle Phillips Situation.

Blame this one on management.Have you ever heard of trying to get through an NFL season with only 3 safties on the roster?Me neither.If there was more than one actual  backup Phillips may have been able to sit the Cowboy game out.Webster took almost 4 seasons to bounce all the way back from his knee injury if you include his senior year at LSU.Sehorn was never the same after that infamous kickoff return in the Jets exhibition game years back.File that as an organization oops also.What has Jerry Reese been doing when someone points to C.C Brown and asks who he is?Say,oh him"that's our"depth."Playing guys who are not 100 percent is a textbook way to win a game but lose a season.I've noticed that Pierce has not been the same player since he broke his leg in 2005 in Philly.When I watched the Dallas game on NFL network yesterday I sarcastically said to myself"He's actually slower on replay."Johnson is wildly inconsistent and Brown has looked lost as a Giant.Coffield is only servicable and Robbins is becoming less and less of a playmaker.Coach Coughlin made the statement when he first came on board that"Injuries are a cancer."That may be a bit harsh for some people's taste but I feel they are somewhat contagious at the very least.Like a baseball game after an early error or an out with men in scoring position,getting dinged up in football tends to become a team-wise malaise. No team in any sport has ever won a ring that is injury prone and bad up the middle defensively.Hopefully Rouse is more than just a body.Teams don't let good db's walk though."Shell"Madison is a good case in point.I call him that because it was obvious after his first step as a Giant that he had lost one after coming over as a Dolphin.Trades are extremely rare in the NFl but inquiring with Miami about Gibril Wilson might be a descent idea.He has a tendency to give up big plays but he plays his best in big games.When the pass rush is on he is a plus player.When they return moving Ross or Dockery over might be worth an experiment, as might Bruce Johnson.Johnson has made enough plays early too see more playing time.Dockery has shown an ability to improve as a player so he might also have the abilty to transition.Webster is a shutdown guy.Thomas looks to be a reliable cover corner which makes Ross a potential option.I've been a huge Giants fan since I was six.I believe every NFL Sunday is like Christmas.I'd love to be wrong, but to the fans who think the Giants overcoming these promblems is a good bet,that bridge I have is still for sale.
