Prince Amukamara to Jaguars: Latest Contract Details, Comments and Reaction
Prince Amukamara battled to stay healthy throughout his time with the New York Giants and did his best to live up to his first-round draft billing. The team evidently didn't feel he was worth a long-term investment, as the 26-year-old has moved on to the Jacksonville Jaguars as a free agent.
The Jaguars announced the move on Friday:

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
ESPN's Adam Schefter initially reported the one-year deal, while Mike Garafolo of Fox Sports confirmed the report.
Probably not an elite player worth designating with the franchise tag nor someone to break the bank for, Amukamara left the Giants in a tough spot. He was one of the more talented members of a woeful defense in 2015 but again was sidelined by injury issues.
In addition to the broken foot Amukamara suffered as a rookie, he missed eight games in 2014 with torn biceps and five contests this past season with a partial pectoral tear.
The uncertainty surrounding the future of supremely gifted pass-rusher Jason Pierre-Paul made the decision on Amukamara all the more complicated. It had to provide Amukamara with leverage of sorts in negotiations, culminating in the Giants being outbid for his services.
General manager Jerry Reese has an even tougher task at hand to shore up a Giants secondary that ranked dead last against the pass this season. Part of the problem was an ineffective pass rush that generated 23 sacks, the third-lowest total in the league.
Other than Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie, New York doesn't really have anyone on the back end to rely on at this juncture. The pressure will be on safety Landon Collins to take a big step forward in his second year.
Jacksonville is taking a calculated risk by landing Amukamara. His price tag probably doesn't match his production to date, but if he can stay healthy, the Jaguars figure to have an exceptional starter who has the upside to evolve into a lockdown corner.
