Patriots vs. Broncos: 2016 AFC Conference Championship Video Highlights, Recap

Joseph ZuckerJan 24, 2016

Tom Brady and Peyton Manning added another entry to their legendary rivalry as the Denver Broncos and New England Patriots faced off in the 2016 AFC Championship Game on Sunday at Sports Authority Field.

With the winning team moving on to Super Bowl 50, it's not as if the conference title clash was in need of added stakes. However, this could be Manning's final season in the league.

The surefire Hall of Famer hasn't confirmed he'll retire at the end of the year, but it wouldn't be a surprise. Injuries and turnovers have blighted Manning's 2015 campaign, and the elevation of Brock Osweiler gives the impression Denver is already looking ahead to the eventual succession at quarterback.

However, standing in the way of Manning and a John Elway-like ride off into the sunset stood Brady and the Patriots. Brady owns the edge in the rivalry, winning 11 of the 16 matchups between the two quarterbacks.

This time around, Manning sat victorious as Denver pulled out a 20-18 win over New England.
