Real Madrid Transfer News: Top Rumours, Stars Reportedly Eyed by Zinedine Zidane

Rory MarsdenJan 23, 2016

Neymar's prospective arrival at Real Madrid would reportedly see one of Gareth Bale, Cristiano Ronaldo or Karim Benzema depart the Bernabeu.

The Barcelona superstar has recently been linked with a shock move to Real, with Los Blancos president Florentino Perez reportedly prepared to pay €190 million (£143.8 million) for Neymar, per Spanish outlet Marca (via Chris Davie of Goal.com).

According to Marca's Carlos Carpio, the necessity to guarantee Neymar "star player" status at Real should they sign him would require one of the club's current attacking trio to depart.

Any move for Neymar to Real seems highly unlikely, as the 23-year-old is currently enjoying huge success at the Camp Nou.

Furthermore, Los Blancos' upcoming transfer ban is set to restrict their movement in the market hugely, per Bleacher Report's Dean Jones and Sam Tighe:

However, in the unlikely event that the Brazilian does make a move to Madrid, Ronaldo seems the most likely of the Real trident to move on.

The Portuguese forward has been heavily linked with a move away from Real over the last year, and Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly prepared to "break the bank" to sign him up, per John Cross in the Mirror.

Perez would undoubtedly be eager—should he sign Neymar—to make back as much money as possible, and Ronaldo would likely demand the biggest transfer fee of the three, despite turning 31 in February.

Bale's sale could also be a huge money-spinner, though, and the Welshman has recently been linked with a £90 million move to Manchester United, per Jonathan Northcroft in the Sunday Times.

But at 26 years old, Bale is arguably indispensable at Real as the heir apparent to Ronaldo, and his form this season has made him even more valuable to the La Liga giants—he has netted 13 goals and provided eight assists in 15 league appearances this season, per WhoScored.

The most likely outcome is that all of Real's attacking threesome will remain at the Bernabeu, as a Neymar switch from Barca to Madrid seems a far-fetched prospect.

Elsewhere, Los Blancos target Robert Lewandowski is reportedly also a target for PSG.

Per L'Equipe (via AS), the French club could persuade Bayern Munich to part with the Polish striker with a bid in excess of €80 million, a figure that both PSG and Real could more than afford to meet.

However, German football expert Raphael Honigstein is insistent that Lewandowski is going nowhere, per ESPN FC.

And with Real preparing for their transfer ban to start in the summer, it certainly seems unlikely that they would be able to engineer a big-money move for Lewandowski in what remains of the current window.
