WWE Royal Rumble 2016 Card: Odds, Full Predictions for Each Champion at Event
All five major championships on WWE's main roster will be at stake this Sunday at Royal Rumble 2016 in Orlando, Florida.
The traditional Royal Rumble match will dictate the fate of the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at the first pay-per-view of the year, with some intriguing matches elsewhere, too.
Will Charlotte manage to survive another meeting with Becky Lynch, perhaps with the help of father Ric?
And will Kevin Owens reclaim the title he lost to Dean Ambrose, or does WWE have bigger plans up its sleeve for KO?
With the show just days away, let's take a look at the predictions for each champion at Royal Rumble 2016, as well as a run through the odds for each match.
All odds are courtesy of Odds Shark.
Charlotte (Divas Champion)
1 of 5| Divas Championship Match
| Charlotte | 4-10 |
| Becky Lynch | 7-4 |
The odds make Charlotte a fairly comfortable favorite to win her grudge match against Becky Lynch, but is it really as conclusive as that?
WWE could opt for a bit of a swerve and go for Lynch as the new champion, or she could even win via disqualification and enable Charlotte to retain.
It will be a pretty entertaining match to watch, not least for the influence of Ric Flair at ringside. And in truth, that influence from Flair might just be the catalyst for Charlotte to hold on to her Divas Championship.
Match Prediction: Charlotte
Kevin Owens (Intercontinental Champion)
2 of 5Intercontinental Championship Match
| Dean Ambrose | 5-7 |
| Kevin Owens | 1-1 |
The odds indicate that this one is going to be a very close match indeed.
However, it's more realistic that Dean Ambrose will retain the Intercontinental Championship and escape the Royal Rumble with the title still around his waist.
Why? You feel like Kevin Owens has bigger things on his mind later in the night, most notably the Royal Rumble match itself and a shot at capturing the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.
Regardless of the result, though, this is set to be one of the standout matches of the evening. A Last Man Standing match is always worth watching, especially when there's two top talents like Owens and Ambrose involved.
Match Prediction: Dean Ambrose
The New Day (Tag Team Champions)
3 of 5| Tag Team Championship Match
| The New Day | 5-7 |
| The Usos | 2-1 |
The latest odds have The New Day as the fairly comfortable favorite here, but much like the Divas Championship match involving Charlotte and Becky Lynch, are those odds accurate?
You get the impression that The New Day's reign as tag champions could be drawing to a close, and The Usos are without doubt the best-placed team to take over at the head of the division.
This could be an intriguing feud to carry WWE's tag division on towards WrestleMania, as long as The New Day keep entertaining on and off the microphone.
This one's a difficult match to call, and it basically depends on when WWE gives The Usos the chance to win the titles. Perhaps the company may hold off until WrestleMania.
Match Prediction: The New Day
Alberto Del Rio (United States Champion)
4 of 5| United States Championship Match
| Alberto Del Rio | 1-4 |
| Kalisto | 5-2 |
Will WWE continue to pass its United States Championship around like a hot potato this Sunday at Royal Rumble?
It seemed like a changing of the guard when Kalisto beat Alberto Del Rio for the title on Raw a couple of weeks ago, but Del Rio has since won the belt back.
The odds suggest Del Rio will retain comfortably, but perhaps WWE was giving us a teaser of things to come when it temporarily pinned the belt on Kalisto earlier this month.
Those odds of 5-2 look like pretty good value, especially if WWE frees Del Rio up for a run with another storyline, probably involving The League of Nations.
This could be the bet of the night.
Match Prediction: Kalisto
Roman Reigns (WWE World Heavyweight Champion)
5 of 5| 2016 Royal Rumble Match
| Triple H | 1-2 |
| Roman Reigns | 7-4 |
| Brock Lesnar | 12-5 |
| Bray Wyatt | 7-2 |
| Kevin Owens | 22-1 |
| Dean Ambrose | 25-1 |
| The Rock | 33-1 |
Judging from the odds, it looks like Roman Reigns is set to leave Royal Rumble this Sunday empty-handed.
Triple H is gaining momentum as the potential winner of the marquee match, especially since he's nowhere to be seen on WWE TV at the moment.
That suggests a surprise return in the Rumble on Sunday, where he will likely cost Reigns the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.
More interesting here though are the odds lower down. The Rock as a 33-1 shot could interest some, and Bray Wyatt's actions in the go-home taping of Raw made him a 7-2 bet.
The potential winner, though? The 12-5 value on Brock Lesnar looks too good to ignore. Triple H will get involved in the Rumble, but that doesn't mean he's going to be an entrant.
Match Prediction: Brock Lesnar
