Andrea Pirlo Says Juventus' Paul Pogba Is the Best Youngster He's Ever Seen

He's in high demand across Europe, and now a former team-mate and Italian legend has heaped praise on Juventus star Paul Pogba.

The 22-year-old is playing a starring role for the resurgent defending Serie A champions, and 2006 World Cup winner Andrea Pirlo isn't surprised, labelling him the best young prospect he has ever seen.

"Pogba is the best youngster I have seen. We understood he was a great player from his first training session," Pirlo told La Gazzetta dello Sport (via Goal.com). "He was skinny but his legs allowed him to be everywhere. Now he is bigger and stronger."

Pirlo, who left for New York City FC in the summer, spent 10 years with AC Milan before joining Juventus in 2011, where he won three straight league titles alongside Pogba from 2013-2015.
