Adidas Announces Release Date for the NMD_R1 'Primeknit'
Adidas made plenty of noise when the brand revealed a new silhouette dubbed the NMD in December of last year. The shoe looked like a stripped down, 3D-printed version of the popular Ultra Boost, and to say that was well received would be a gross injustice.

Going off the initial success of the NMD runner—the shoe sold out instantly—the Three-Stripe machine is now releasing the NMD_R1.

The NMD_R1 boasts a pixelated Primeknit upper, armed with a textile pattern. The grey, white and black color combination fits in well with the muted, tonal approach Adidas has been lacing their product with. On the tech side, a welded structural overlay and EVA inserts—a unique foam material that ensures support—keep the NMD_R1 on the up and up.

There's no reason to think that this shoe will be any different from what we saw with the first NMD drop. It should be a taxing proposition to attain a pair when the sneaker finally hits stores on January 30.
