Louis van Gaal has come in for some criticism during his time at Old Trafford after a string of underwhelming performances.

However, the Dutchman's side were at their entertaining best on Tuesday during a 3-3 draw against Newcastle United, squandering the lead twice in a thriller at St. James' Park.

Van Gaal will look to keep both the Red Devils supporters and board happy once again on Sunday, when United take on Liverpool. A little bit of Gladiator spirit wouldn't go amiss at the Anfield coliseum.
