John Scott is no longer going to the 2016 NHL All-Star Game.

A joke that began with a seemingly harmless surge in fan voting to send the otherwise unimpressive Scott to Nashville in an apparent attempt to demonstrate the lack of weight the All-Star Game carries went south Friday when a three-team deal not only dispatched the Arizona Coyotes forward to the Montreal Canadiens but also landed him in the AHL.

Thus, Scott was stripped of his eligibility for the game. And these lovely shirts he had made for his teammates as an elected captain? Rendered useless.
