Stauskas Active vs. Celtics

Sunday, Jan. 24

Stauskas was available to play on Sunday against Boston, per Keith Pompey of the Philadelphia Inquirer

Stauskas' NBA Struggles Have Continued in Philly

Stauskas started the season off strong, scoring in double figures in six of his first eight games. Since then, the former first-round pick from Michigan has eclipsed double digits only five times.

The Sixers sharpshooter is averaging 23.2 minutes per game in his first season in Philly, scoring just over seven points per game but shooting 35 percent from the floor. It's been a rough transition from the college level to the NBA in terms of scoring and defense, per Kyle Phillippi of CSN Philly

"

His minutes have taken a hit because of his defensive play. In 15 games last month, Stauskas was averaging 25 minutes per game. Over the past three contests, he has seen just 10.6 minutes on the floor. Brown wants all five of his guys on the court to be active, disruptive defenders. That’s not Stauskas’ M.O.

Brown believes that his struggling shooter’s turnaround will begin with his defense. When he begins to get more active, his minutes will go up and he’ll have a higher chance of finding that missing rhythm.

"

Philadelphia's offense has struggled all year and needs Stauskas' shooting to space the floor.
