Our pre-season hopes should be deflated.. our enthusiasm should be crushed… should be dashed against the rocks of Football despair..     But.. Nay I say… This is a new Team, Era, and New Football Culture at MSU.

Its not the lack of talent on the Spartan field that has driven 2 losses, its not the Coaching.. But, I Think I do know what it is….. I’ve seen it and felt it myself.  Its concentration and focus. It’s funny, this competition thing….. if your in the game, time can slows down, focus is enhanced, and the crowd can disappear,  when you in the ZONE you have hyper senses.. Its true...

That is what I see as the flaw..  Inappropriate / unlucky times to drop ones focus on the field has caused the teams loses. Its not one player, but across the team.

 The interception that was missed, the pass that was errantly thrown. A few more focused efforts on plays here , a few there and the Spartans would he Heroes, and we wouldn’t be talking about this or raining questions on the team.

The Spartans still have the horses to run the Big Ten, they need to get on track and focus each down.

So.. What does that mean for the game against the Badgers… Hell, I don’t know.....  But, I can take a stab at what I believe will happen and why.  Seems like they might be pretty evenly matched..

This week they head to a DIFFICULT place to play, Camp Randall.  Never easy up there for the Spartan.

Changes: Chris Rucker has been listed on the dept chart as back up. He needs to improve his focus.

Spartans lost heart breaker to a good CMU and Notre Dame team.. For Wisconsin it took double OT to beat Fresno State at Home, Barley beat Northern Illinois 28- 20…

At this point, I still think the Spartans will win this one in MadTown.  But, I’m going to curb my enthusiasm until Saturday around 4pm…  I have to step back from the 11 – 0 ledge.....
and take a Deeeeeep breath…. Focus.. Focus…
