NFL Playoff Bracket 2016: Updated Postseason Picture, Divisional-Round Scenarios
With the wild-card round in the books, the NFL postseason turns its attention to the final eight teams competing in this weekend's divisional round.
There's no clear-cut favorite, and the games should be filled with plenty of drama. For the first time in NFL history, all four wild-card teams earned a victory when the Green Bay Packers outlasted Washington, 35-18.
Here's a look at the updated playoff picture as well as some analysis of what's to come in the divisional round.

NFC Road Streak Will End
While the wild-card teams were successful over the weekend, don't expect that trend to continue in the NFC.
The No. 1 Carolina Panthers and No. 2 Arizona Cardinals combined to lose just four games in the regular season. They also had the top two scoring offenses in the NFL along with the league's best point differentials.
Carolina already defeated Seattle on the road in Week 6, while the Cardinals defeated the Packers by 30 points at home in Week 16.
Sure, those games don't guarantee anything, but asking Green Bay and Seattle to go on the road for a second straight week and beat teams they've already lost to this season is, well, asking too much.
As RJ Bell of Pregame.com points out, the NFC home teams have two of the top three best chances to win the Super Bowl:
It's been upset city so far, but expect the bracket to go chalk once the NFC Championship Game rolls around.
Is New England the Favorite to Repeat?
Picking Tom Brady and the New England Patriots to win Super Bowl 50 wouldn't be going out on a limb. They are the AFC's No. 2 seed and have the best quarterback, tight end and coach in the NFL. However, if you dig a little deeper, the defending champions look vulnerable.
It's certainly a positive that they had the first weekend off to rest some of their injured stars. However, considering Brady is dealing with an ankle injury, No. 1 wide receiver Julian Edelman hasn't played since Week 10 and All-Pro tight end Rob Gronkowski is nursing an injury as well, it's not all rosy for the Patriots.
They also lost four of their final six games after a 10-0 start and suddenly look beatable. However, Brady said none of that matters now that the regular season is over.
"Nothing over the last six weeks is going to matter," Brady said, per ESPN.com. "We have to play well going forward if we want to make anything of our season."
They are going to have to play well considering the Kansas City Chiefs are the hottest team in the NFL, riding an 11-game win streak after torching the Houston Texans at home 30-0 in the wild-card round. They boast one of the top defenses in the NFL, although they are banged up on offense as well.
Safety Eric Berry didn't seem to care about the Patriots' Super Bowl history or dominance at home after his team's big win.
"We wanted to come in and dominate," Berry said, per ESPN.com. "Right now we are locked in and ready for next week.
The Patriots should be considered the AFC favorite, but if injuries slow them and the Chiefs remain hot, they might not make it out of the divisional round.
