Rob BlanchetteJan 9, 2016

Lionel Messi hit the goal trail for Barcelona in La Liga on Saturday, scoring a hat-trick for the Blaugrana at the Camp Nou in a 4-0 win against Granada.

The Argentina wizard grabbed his three strikes in 58 minutes after notching a brace in the opening moments of the match.

Infostrada Sports highlighted the details behind the last Messi hat-trick:

ESPN Stats & Info said the attacker closed in on Cristiano Ronaldo's hat-trick count:

The player was at his magical best after scoring in the eighth and 14th minutes, and he completed his hat-trick in the second half as Granada surrendered to the treble winners.

Messi's first was assisted by new signing Arda Turan, who set up the forward; Luis Suarez gave a hand in the second, as Messi made sure of his finish.

Turan's slick pass for the player's first was captured on social media:

The legend grabbed his third after latching onto a rebounded shot from Neymar—which fell at his feet as he sprinted in—after hitting the post.

Neymar grabbed a fourth to cap the perfect day off for Barca, as the La Liga holders continue their quest to retain the title.

Messi was once again captured on social media, walking off with the match ball at full-time, per the club's official Twitter account:

Match of the Day presenter Gary Lineker jested as Messi attained yet another triple strike:

The icon looks in fine fettle as the Blaugrana enter the second half of the campaign, and the MSN trinity of Messi, Suarez and Neymar looks as powerful and potent as ever.

Barcelona will be impossible to stop if the three players continue as they did against Granada, with Messi hoping to be crowned with yet another Ballon d'Or on Monday.
