Cam Newton Shares Newborn Son's Name 'Chosen' on Practice Jersey
Cam Newton finally affirmed the name of his newborn son, Chosen.
Yes, Chosen. Chosen Sebastian Newton, to be exact.
The Carolina Panthers quarterback had the name printed in bold white letters across the back of the practice jersey he wore Thursday, which looked fitting atop the No. 1.

It was an appropriate name selection for Newton, at least that's the way his teammates understood it.
"It doesn’t surprise me with him because he goes against everybody else’s trends or mindset or perspective," receiver Jerricho Cotchery told ESPN's David Newton (no relation). "He goes with what he feels at that moment."
Cornerback Josh Norman sounded a similar sentiment, telling David Newton that the selection was "different and unique, just like him."
Update: Friday, January 8
On Friday, the star quarterback talked about what factored into the naming process. "Cam Newton Jr." was off the table (h/t For The Win):
"I wanted something that would be masculine, but yet unique. I’m not a big fan of juniors and every person that I’ve had this conversation when I say ‘I don’t want to have the pressure of him being a junior’, they reply, ‘what the hell do you think Chosen’s going to bring?'
