Parsons Active vs. Pelicans
Wednesday, Jan. 6
Earl K. Sneed of Mavs.com reported Parsons will play against the Pelicans.
Parsons' Offense Vital to Mavericks' Attack
The $46 million man experienced some success during his first season with the Mavericks as he averaged 15.7 points on 46.2 percent shooting from the field and 38 percent shooting from three, but he was limited to 66 appearances throughout the 2014-15 campaign.
This year, Parsons' production has regressed significantly. Entering Tuesday's game, the 27-year-old was averaging a career-worst 8.9 points and 3.3 rebounds. He was also shooting 44.5 percent from the field and 33.8 percent from distance.
According to NBA.com's stats database, the Dallas offense was 2.2 points better per 100 possessions with Parsons off the floor through his first 27 appearances this year.
However, his versatility on the wing still makes the Mavericks more of a threat on the offensive end, especially if he's able to find his old form.
