Ruud Gullit on Memphis Depay: 'If You Don't Perform, Don't Turn Up in a Hummer'
Dutch legend Ruud Gullit has criticised Memphis Depay following a disappointing start to his Manchester United career.
“He needs to deliver," Gullit told the Mirror. "He has a lot of qualities, but to fulfil his potential he has to stay low-key in his personal life. If you don’t perform, you must not turn up in a brand new Rolls Royce and a new Hummer at the training ground."
Much was expected of Memphis when he moved to Old Trafford from PSV Eindhoven for £25 million in the summer, but his total of five goals and four assists so far has left fans disappointed.

"Memphis should concentrate fully on football," Gullit added. "It would be a shame if someone like Memphis is going to be wasted because of all this side stuff. He has to make sure they talk about the footballer Memphis. He has to accept criticism as a man and get on with his job as a footballer."
