In proof that Sergio Ramos probably doesn't operate his own social media accounts, the Real Madrid defender made a somewhat awkward blunder on Twitter on New Year's Eve.

He also included a photo referencing the birth of his second child, Marco, in November. The only problem? It was a photo of Leo Messi's child.
He has since deleted and amended the error, but Twitter was quick to pick up on the fact that central to Ramos' 2015 collage was a picture from the Instagram feed of Messi's partner, Antonella Roccuzzo.
The conspiracy theorists seemed to fit into three categories: Ramos was claiming to be the father of Roccuzzo's baby, that the Spanish centre-back is a fan of the Messi family or that professional footballers aren't necessarily the editors of their own social media channels.
