NFL Draft 2016: Current Selection Order and Top Prospects
With just one week of the NFL regular season remaining and 10 of the 12 playoff berths already decided, we have a pretty good idea of how the NFL draft order will shake out this season.
Before we break down this draft class' top prospects, let's take a look at the current selection order (which of course will change after Week 17 and the playoffs):
| 1 | Tennessee Titans |

Laremy Tunsil, an offensive tackle from Ole Miss, is absolutely going to be one of the players the teams atop the draft board look at closely. He's widely considered the top offensive lineman in this draft, and if the Tennessee Titans get the selection, it will likely be a decision between players like Tunsil and edge-rusher Joey Bosa.
Bosa is arguably the most dynamic defensive player in this year's draft, but his stats were down somewhat this season. After notching a combined 21 sacks in the previous two seasons, Bosa had just five this year, also adding 16 tackles for loss.
It's possible he will return for his senior season, though he said he'll make his decision after the Fiesta Bowl.
“I’m trying to focus on the game right now,” Bosa told Tim May of the Columbus Dispatch. “I don’t want to take any attention away from the team, be a distraction whatsoever. I have my decision, and you guys will know after the game.”
He added, “Everything’s in place, so I’m not really worrying about anything. Everything’s taken care of. Everything’s all good. All I’ve got to worry about is playing football and worry about this team and this game.”
Lockdown cornerbacks Vernon Hargreaves and Jalen Ramsey and standout linebackers Myles Jack and Jaylon Smith also could crack the top five.

Meanwhile, quarterbacks will likely have a big presence in the top 10. Memphis' Paxton Lynch is the front-runner to be the top quarterback off the board, but Cal's Jared Goff could be a top-five selection too.
"I like Goff a lot," former Oakland Raiders scout Bruce Kebric told Jeff Faraudo of the San Jose Mercury News. "Goff is probably the more accomplished passer right now, but Lynch is 6'6" and a better pure athlete with a stronger arm."
Connor Cook and Carson Wentz could climb up the board as well—teams always reach for quarterbacks—though they seem unlikely to go in the top 10.
Ole Miss wideout Laquon Treadwell and Ohio State running back Ezekiel Elliott are the two top offensive skill position players in the class, and both could be off the board in the top half of the draft.
