Australian A-League Replace Coin Toss with Christmas Cracker for Boxing Day Game

The Australian A-League has fully embraced the festive spirit by making making a slight change to proceedings in Sydney FC's Boxing Day clash with Central Coast Mariners.

Traditionally, kick-off is decided by a coin toss between the two captains. But, in this instance, Sydney's Alex Brosque and the Mariners' Nick Montgomery pulled a Christmas cracker in order to decide who would have the first touch.

Sydney won the "cracker-off" and the game by a 4-1 margin, but sadly Brosque did not read the joke or put on the hat.
