Josh Norman Comments on Issues with Opposing Wide Receivers
Carolina Panthers cornerback Josh Norman stated Wednesday the issues with opposing wide receivers, most notably New York Giants star Odell Beckham Jr. this past weekend, are simply a sign that he's doing a good job.
Britt McHenry of ESPN passed along comments from the 28-year-old breakout star, who's racked up 50 combined tackles, four interceptions and two touchdowns this season, about the situation.
"If those guys are getting upset ... must be doing my job well," Norman said.

The comments come after Jarrett Bell of USA Today reported earlier Wednesday the corner had been fined more than $26,000 for his actions in Sunday's victory over the Giants.
His often-heated battle with Beckham stole the spotlight after the duo was involved in several tussles throughout the game. New York's top receiver is currently appealing a one-game suspension for his role, including a direct shot to Norman's helmet, as James Kratch of NJ Advance Media noted.
Norman's improvement in the secondary is one of the major reasons the Panthers are 14-0 and own the league's third-ranked defense. He's often been tasked with covering each opponent's top wideout and has held his own in those crucial matchups.
Based on his comments, it's clear he feels the aggressive style of play he's utilized has been effective. It's thus unclear whether the fines will have the desired impact of getting him to tone things down a bit after things got out of hand Sunday.
