Forget Saturday’s loss to U-Conn.
These Baylor Bears are on a mission -- and an eight-point loss to the Huskies isn’t about to stand in their way.
This Baylor football team has one key ingredient found in all successful teams -- chemistry.
On top of that, these Bears are led by one of the best coaching staffs in the nation under the helm of Art Briles (just check his career track and you’ll find it to be pretty golden: he compiled 172 wins as a high school coach and has a 39-36 record at the college level).
These Bears also have one of the best young quarterbacks in the nation in Robert Griffin (it‘s been talked about before and can be talked about time and time again, but this guy truly represents everything that is good about college sports, and he is the epitome of play-caller greatness in both his running and his passing abilities).
And in a Briles-Griffin humble sort of way, I must admit there’s no “I” in this BU Football team. Without a solid line on both sides of the ball, as well as superb special teams and explosive offensive and defensive threats, there would be no Green & Gold team.
“Hard work” and “teamwork” are two phrases these Bears know by heart.
And I have no doubt that Baylor will come out aiming and ready on Saturday evening against Northwestern State at Floyd Casey Stadium.
We may be 1-1 right now, but I guarantee you there are many more wins to come…
