NFL Week 15 Betting Picks: Giants, Raiders, Eagles Will Pay as Home Underdogs

OddsShark.comDec 17, 2015

Week 15 looks to be one of the biggest weeks of the NFL season heading down the final stretch. Will the Carolina Panthers (13-0) remain undefeated? Who will rise to win the NFC East title? Which teams have the best shot to make the postseason as wild cards?

First of all, the Panthers will suffer their first loss of the season Sunday when they visit the New York Giants (6-7). Carolina announced it will not have running back Jonathan Stewart available due to a foot sprain, and New York wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. will make his case for NFL MVP honors with another big performance.

While Beckham has virtually no shot at earning the award because Panthers quarterback Cam Newton has been so good, his team might have the best opportunity to take the NFC East if the Giants can earn a victory here.

Carolina is a consensus five-point road favorite at sportsbooks monitored by Odds Shark, but the spread will not matter as New York pulls off the upset and moves one step closer to winning the division crown.

There are rumors that the Oakland Raiders (6-7) may be heading to the southern part of California, but before they do, they would love nothing more than to give their faithful fans their first playoff appearance since 2002, when they went to the Super Bowl.

Charles Woodson was on that squad and will be facing the only other team he has ever played for when Oakland hosts the NFC North-leading Green Bay Packers (9-4) as a three-point home underdog.

The Raiders may have a slim chance of making the postseason. Though the New York Jets (8-5), Kansas City Chiefs (8-5) and Pittsburgh Steelers (8-5) all have better shots right now, crazier things have happened. Look for Woodson to get the best of former teammate Aaron Rodgers, with Khalil Mack adding to his NFL-leading sack total in an Oakland upset of Green Bay.

In the Sunday night game, the Philadelphia Eagles (6-7) have a lot more to play for than the Arizona Cardinals (11-2) as one of three teams vying for the NFC East crown along with the Giants and Washington Redskins (6-7).

The Eagles are 3.5-point home underdogs versus the Cardinals, and they are 11-4 against the spread in their last 15 games as dogs during the month of December. Philly will make it 12-4 here with a straight-up victory to keep pace with New York atop the division.
