Bojan Scouted by Multiple Clubs Amid Buyout Clause Rumours

Tuesday, Jan. 5

"Bojan has a buy out clause for £10 million, but only if Stoke goes down," noted Sky Sports' Guillem Balague. "[Barcelona] not looking at him. Scouts of [Manchester United], Chelsea and Valencia [have] been [to] see him."

On Sunday, Neil Moxley of the Daily Mirror noted Stoke could sell Bojan for his buyout clause this month.

Bojan Reportedly Open to Champions League Challenge

Thursday, Dec. 17

United, Liverpool and Chelsea are all willing to land the former Barcelona starlet, according to Martin Lipton of the Sun, who claimed Bojan would be tempted by the prospect of joining a team either in or striving to be in the Champions League.

Former Barca Star Has Proved Premier League Mettle

After tough spells with Roma and AC Milan, Bojan finally seems to have found a club that suits him. Stoke manager Mark Hughes has encouraged this Potters team to play with freedom and ingenuity, which is ideal for the Spain international. Indeed, alongside team-mates Xherdan Shaqiri and Marko Arnautovic, he's helped Stoke to play some thrilling stuff this term.

As a small player—he stands at just 5'7"—question marks originally surrounded Bojan's ability to handle the aggressive nature of the Premier League. However, his technical capabilities have shone through.

Bojan will know the Britannia Stadium is the best place for him to continue developing too. He was once a player who looked overawed at illustrious teams, and while he’s made undoubted progress since moving to the Premier League, being the crux of the exciting team Hughes has assembled is the perfect scenario for him for the time being.
