As the name implies—and the pictures confirm—the Yeezy Boost 750 "Triple Black" features three shades of black in the high-top design that really shine, as this image from Adidas Yeezy Boost on Instagram shows:
It's hard in this era of clothing, where flash is all the rage, to be bold and tone down the look of a shoe.
Of course, that's been Kanye West's style on stage virtually his entire career. He performs in a white T-shirt with dark jeans and sneakers.
For a rapper who is as flamboyant and boisterous as West, it's odd to see that his fashion style in concert is so subdued.
That's not to say Adidas doesn't bring some pop with the Yeezy Boost 750, per Adidas Yeezy Boost on Instagram:
The sole of these shoes are so alive (no pun intended) and full of panache, which fits very nicely into West's persona.
Adidas hasn't gone crazy with releases of the 750 version of the shoe—this is just the second one to come out in 2015, following the gray colorway version that debuted in February—but the holidays make it a reasonable release for late December.
Los Angeles Lakers guard Nick Young wore the original version during the team's Dec. 12 game against the Houston Rockets as part of his new sneaker deal with Adidas.
Swaggy P will have to wait, like the rest of us, to get his hands on the new "Triple Black" version, but there's no doubt these will play just as well on the court as in casual settings.
