Smith Carted off Field vs. Titans

Sunday, Dec. 13

According to Rich Cimini of ESPN, Smith couldn't put any weight on the leg and had to be carted off the field after suffering the injury.

Smith's Injury-Plagued Season Continues

Smith, 23, has just nine receptions for 115 yards and a touchdown this season. It's been a rough year for the wideout, who missed the early part of the season with broken ribs and was buried on the depth chart below Brandon Marshall and Eric Decker.

He caught his first touchdown pass two weeks ago against the Miami Dolphins, however, and showed promise as the season continued.

Without Smith, the Jets will be very thin at wide receiver going forward. Jeremy Kerley injured his calf on Sunday as well, per Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News, potentially leaving the team without its third and fourth options at the position.

Quincy Enunwa will be in line for a bigger role going forward if Kerley's injury extends beyond this week.
