Mesut Ozil Doubted by David Moyes During Aston Villa vs. Arsenal Match Coverage
Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil is finally delivering the kind of performances he promised upon his £42 million arrival at the Emirates, but it seems that not everyone is convinced.
Former Manchester United manager David Moyes took to the pundit’s chair for Sky Sports’ coverage of the Gunners’ clash with Aston Villa on Sunday and had some choice words about the German—via Sean Kearns of Metro:
“I think he’s starting to find his feet in the Premier League, but I think the jury’s still out on him a bit.”

Ozil has chalked up 13 Premier League assists this term and has arguably been the standout performer in the division; so, naturally, the jury was actually out on Moyes on social media. 888Sport summed up the reaction:
Moyes isn’t the only one who’s been questioning Ozil of late, though, as Craig Bellamy said on Sky Sports' Monday Night Football that the midfielder should move out wide to allow Aaron Ramsey to operate in a more central role—via Simeon Gholam of MailOnline.
Ozil and Ramsey were paired centrally at Villa Park and demonstrated how lethal they can be as a duo when the latter found the back of the net.

The German burst forward to go one-on-one with Brad Guzan in the Villa goal before he intelligently squared for Ramsey to tap home.
One single piece of magic was enough for yet more ridicule to be hurled Moyes’ way. Broadcaster Piers Morgan led the onslaught:
Arsenal are starting to look like genuine title candidates this term, and Ozil’s brilliance is arguably one of the main reasons behind that.
There have been times when Ozil hasn’t been at his best in the Arsenal shirt, but that simply doesn’t apply this season. It’s safe to say the jury can pack up and go home.
