But fortunately for Tom Coughlin, one of these teams has to make the playoffs, and with his New York Giants currently in a three-way tie for first place in the division, he still has a shot at making the cut.

Speaking at a press conference Thursday, Coughlin broke out into jumping jacks when asked how he felt about the Cowboys beating the Redskins on Monday night (and maintaining the division's first-place tie).

This is either great sarcasm or a guy who's just happy something bad didn't happen for once.
In any case, the Giants will play the Dolphins on Monday night.
A win and corresponding losses in Washington and Philadelphia could see New York separate itself from hobbled masses and pull into sole command of the NFC East. Someone has to be king of Trash Mountain; might as well be the team with recent Super Bowl rings.
