Not many people gave the Philadelphia Eagles a chance to go into Foxboro and beat the New England Patriots on their home field Sunday.
That didn't matter to Eagles linebacker Connor . He had confidence in his team—enough confidence, in fact, to make a friendly "wager" with a Patriots fan.

went on The Mike and Ike Show (via CBS Philly) on Monday and explained what took place before the game:
"I go out to the field and warm up by myself early and some Patriots fans—that these stadiums now have access where they're right up on the field—and they were kind of messing with me. Talking about how I wasn't going to get any sacks, we weren't going to win, blah, blah, blah. And I just said make sure you have a beer ready for me after we win.
"
That kind of trash-talking goes on before games at every venue in every league. The smack talk is a way for fans and athletes to have fun interacting. It's rare that a fan would actually pay up after watching his or her team lose, though.
Well, recorded six tackles and two sacks while helping the Eagles upset the Patriots, 35-28. Although it would have been easy for those New England fans to just leave the stadium without holding up their end of the bargain, they honored the deal.
"Sure enough, we won and they had a Bud Light ready for me, so I grabbed it on my way out," said, via CBS Philly.
On this day, Bud Light represented the taste of victory.
