Legendary goalscoring goalkeeper Rogerio Ceni retired on Sunday after 23 years and 1,256 appearances for Sao Paulo and Brazil.

But despite a long and successful career as the last line of defence, it is 42-year-old Ceni's incredible goalscoring record that he will be remembered for long after he hangs up his gloves, and boots.

The set-piece specialist scored an astonishing 131 goals across his career, which is a barely believable total for a player who's primary job was to stop the ball going in his own goal.

So, with the news of Ceni's retirement, we thought it would be fitting to sit back and marvel at a selection of the Sao Paolo legend's best strikes.

He'll be missed.
