
Houston Issues Statement on Security's Altercation with Fans After AAC Title Win
The Houston Cougars captured the American Athletic Conference championship with a 24-13 win over the Temple Owls on Saturday afternoon, but a scary scene unfolded when stadium security got physical with fans who rushed the field at TDECU Stadium in a moment of celebration.

Saturday marked Houston's first conference championship triumph since 2006, per ESPN.com's Sam Khan Jr., and it's a shame such an ugly incident had to overshadow the festivities.
