Nike Air Trainer Cruz 'Wolf Grey' Release Date, Pics and Retail Price
Nike is set to release the latest edition of the Air Cruz this week in the form of a "Wolf Grey" Trainer design. It's one of the most complex looks the company will debut during the holiday season with a multitude of elements creating a pretty cool overall feel.
The shoe truly deserves an extended look because there are several minor pieces of the design that may get overlooked at first glance. They help create a style that will stand out from the crowd without the use of an overly flashy color scheme.
Here are the release details from Sneaker Bar Detroit:
| Friday, Dec. 11 | Wolf Grey, Mulberry, Black, White | $140 |
As mentioned, it's not an over-the-top combination of colors, but it all flows together nicely.
The front third of the shoe is pretty basic. It's not until reaching the strap that goes over the laces that it really explodes into a lot of activity, including a unique rigid concept and a multilevel outsole that helps create contrast.
KicksOnFire.com provided a base look:
There's also a message on the Velcro across the middle and another strap that wraps around the back of the shoe. You could almost call it the mullet design because it's business in the front and a major party in the back.
Sneaker Finder passed along the reverse view:

One of the cooler, albeit more minor, elements is the lace hook. The fact that it's a shiny silver against a shoe that's mostly matte allows it to pop. It's one of a bunch of smaller things that really helps bring the whole shoe together.
Nice Kicks helped highlight those with a close-up picture:
Ultimately, shoes with a lot of different things going on at once can sometimes become overwhelming. That's certainly not the case here. It all comes together like a puzzle and the sum of the parts is a nice-looking design.
The unique look should help it receive a lot of looks, even in the crowded holiday market.
