Shaun Livingston Out for Game 2 vs. Trail Blazers with Finger, Hand Injuries

Golden State Warriors guard Shaun Livingston will miss Wednesday's Game 2 matchup with the Portland Trail Blazers with finger and hand injuries.

"We're pretty thin," Warriors coach Steve Kerr told reporters.

Golden State will also be without Kevin Durant and Matt Barnes as it tries to take a 2-0 lead in the best-of-seven series. Livingston had two points, one rebound and one assist in 15 minutes during the Warriors' Game 1 victory.

In his 12th NBA season, Livingston has found a home as a reserve in Golden State. While he doesn't spread the floor well, his proficient passing and ability to score on smaller guards in the post make him effective. He averaged 5.1 points, 2.0 rebounds and 1.8 assists in the regular season.

The Warriors are more vulnerable than ever to injuries after signing Durant. Creating a Big Four came at the expense of some of their depth, as they were forced to sign a series of low-cost veterans. Having Durant and Livingston out will only make things harder for Kerr and put a bigger strain on Steph Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green.

Ian Clark and Patrick McCaw will likely see more action with Livingston out of the lineup.
