UFC Champion Conor McGregor Says He'd 'Whoop' Jesus' Ass in the Octagon

Steven RondinaDec 3, 2015

Conor McGregor isn't afraid of any man alive. Or any deity, for that matter.

The interim UFC featherweight champion spoke with TMZ Sports on Wednesday, and was asked how he would fair in a fight with Jesus Christ and he's got this, guys.

After initially being taken aback by the question, he responded in traditional McGregor fashion. "Me versus Jesus in the Octagon? I tell you what, there's not a man alive that can beat me," said McGregor (h/t to MMAMania.com's Jesse Holland for the transcription, Warning NSFW Language). "But Jesus ain't alive so I don't f-----g know, maybe he can come back from the dead, I don't know. I'd still whoop his ass."

All joking aside, brazen talk has become par for the course with McGregor.

The Irish striker has set himself apart from the rest of a relatively boring division with his non-stop smack talk. Fighters in a variety of weight classes have been stung by his words, and he made big waves in September when he hijacked a UFC press conference (Warning, NSFW Language) to talk smack to Rafael dos Anjos, Donald Cerrone, Dustin Poirier, Joseph Duffy and Chad Mendes.

At this moment, though, McGregor's eyes need to be set on UFC 194, where he will face the true UFC featherweight champion Jose Aldo in a bout to unify his belt with his hastily made interim title. If he can get through that unscathed, he can start truly picking his next fight.
